ECI Certification Videos
(These videos are viewed best with the Windows Media Player.)
Part of the process in becoming a certified ECI assessor is to score 2 ECI assessments. Each scoring must be in agreement with at least 85% of a certified assessors scoring of the same assessment, these are called reliability checks. For new programs (i.e., those that do not currently have a certified assessor), score the following 6-minute ECI assessment videos, and send your scored sheet to Dr. Dale Walker or Dr. Jay Buzhardt to check your agreement. Keep in mind that tt usually takes a few tries before you reach 85%. This is the last step in becoming certified, so be sure you have completed all prior steps for certification before attempting an assessment.
After one person is certified in your program, that person can then certify others. To maintain certification, all certified assessors should ensure 85% reliability with another certified assessor annually.
