IGDI Observation Procedures and Forms

Infant and Toddler IGDI's are based on child observations. Conducting these observations requires the following:

1. A Recording Sheet to record your observations,
2. An Observer Agreement Sheet to calculate reliability between your observers (a reliability check should be done with all certified assessors at least annually, with at least 85% agreement),
3. An Administration Checklist to follow to ensure that assessments are conducted accurately (All assessors should be checked annually to ensure that they follow at least 81% of this checklist),
4. Administration Instructions that provide detailed information about how to setup observations, toys to use, ending sessions, etc.

These documents are provided below for each IGDI measure: ECI, EMI, ESI, EPSI, and IPCI

Remember that before you can conduct observations, you must complete all training requirements and meet all assessor qualifications.
