What if you suspect that the child's disposition caused an irregular assessment?

Answer: Make note of this in the "Notes" field of the online data entry form. It's also a good idea to write it on the data sheet to help you remember to enter it in the website. We also recommend conducting another assessment as soon as possible to get a more valid measure of the child's behavior. If it happens frequently, you should consider what might be causing these irregular assessments. Perhaps the child needs a different play partner (e.g., a parent or teacher), or the environment may need to be arranged to reduce distractions (e.g., a blanket over the toy/book shelf, asking siblings to play in an area away from the assessment, etc.)
